According to a study published in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience, children who have had at least a year of formal music training show a marked increase in neural structure and function, which improves the response and ability to process speech. Music training in essence makes the mind more resilient and able to adapt.

Really? We needed a study to prove that music is good for the developing brain? Most people know that music has dramatic positive influences on brain development, but I am happy these studies are being done! They give those of us with dreams of music in schools and homes everywhere proof backing up what we have said for years!

That Music is good for the soul.
